Throughout our school work, we understand that the students’ well-being is the primary focus, and that each campus should reflect and directly support each school’s unique mission. We value the input of all members of a school community and begin building consensus among constituents from the earliest stages of each project.

Prior to founding CA+P, Meredith worked on a wide variety of private school projects on several different campuses. Her projects included theaters, classroom buildings, dormitories, maker spaces, student centers, libraries, fitness centers, science labs, athletic facilities, a recording studio, administrative offices, and accessibility upgrades.

As a campus grows, it is important to look to the future to ensure that current building projects will complement the school’s long term strategic goals. We start by incorporating the schools existing strategic plan and, throughout numerous meetings and interviews with the design team, administrators, faculty, staff, and stakeholders, develop a thorough understanding of the school’s culture and pedagogy, which then informs decision-making at all stages of a project.
Campus planning services for private PreK-12 schools include: Campus master planning, evaluation of existing facilities, regulatory planning, accessibility planning, sustainability planning, campus safety planning, campus signage.
Meredith S. Chamberlin AIA LEED AP
Meredith’s experience spans over 27 years, and includes work on single family residential projects as well as private, independent PreK-12 school projects in New England.
Prior to establishing Chamberlin Architects + Planners, Meredith spent over 20 years working at an architecture firm in Boston, where she focused on designing and managing all aspects of private school projects, ranging from $2m-$15m construction cost. She also has extensive experience in Master Planning for private school clients, guiding them through the planning process and acted as OPM for select school clients. Meredith received her graduate degree from the Catholic University of America in Washington DC. She is a Registered Architect in Massachusetts and a member of the American Institute of Architects.
